Pearson Irons in the Fire - is a steel multi use disc brake bicycle. Ideal for the rigours of every day riding on road, as well as being able to cope with rougher terrain and heavy loads. The frame is built from tough double butted cromoly tube sets, with mounts for a rack and mudguards leaving sufficient clearance for up to 700x40c tyres. Coupled with a carbon front fork to maintain lighter weight, the feel is agile and makes for quick riding. Each bike is custom built from the frame upwards, variations in stems and crank set length, bar widths are fully assessed, every Irons in the Fire bike is unique! Our suggested specification. The frame: Double butted oversize Cromoly steel. Precision tig welded for extra strength. A slightly higher front end gives a commanding riding position, ideal for good visibility on a commute and confidence to manoeuvre on more challenging surfaces. All this whilst still maintaining an efficient riding position. Available in four sizes. Pearson geometry - Pearson frames are uniquely designed using the knowledge we have gathered from our precision bike fitting service. We have interpreted and learnt from the valuable data collected over thousands of fits to establish appropriate geometries for each style of bike we supply. This enables the rider to be as comfortable and efficient as possible for the type of use intended, our goal is to optimise position using the expertise gained over many years of supplying bikes. The components: Shimano Tiagra 10 speed has been updated to take on accents of the same sleek designs of Dura Ace and Ultegra groupsets. Superbly smooth changes and amazingly durable, lightweight components made this groupset the ideal choice for Irons in the Fire. The wheels: Mavic Aksium disc are tough, quick and good looking. Mavic products are supplied with a two year warranty as standard so riders can rest assured that the product is backed up by a quality manufacturer.
