This lauded restaurant is the epitome of gastronomic excellence and sophistication – it’s held a Michelin star, was awarded the Good Food Guide’s ‘Best New Restaurant’ when it opened in 2011, and has been named the fourth-best restaurant in the entire UK. Atherton’s success in London has seen him open restaurants all over the world, including Dubai, the USA and the Philippines. He prides himself on creating the best team to serve the very best food, as you’ll discover as part of this luxury package. Through this experience, your group will enjoy a succession of 15 tantalizing tapas dishes, with wine pairing by the restaurant’s executive head sommelier, Laure Patry. Patry, grew up in France and trained at a catering school in the Loire Valley before completing her advanced sommelier course in 2000. In 2003, she took up the position as assistant head sommelier for Gordon Ramsay in Claridges, before joining Jason Atherton as group head sommelier for the successful launch of Pollen Street Social in Mayfair. For more than 5 years, Patry has been responsible for managing Pollen Street Social’s drinks team, working with all the groups’ head sommeliers and acting as wine consultant to The Social Company clients. She has also helped establish Atherton’s operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, as well as launching Atherton’s Social Wines & Tapas to critical acclaim. Patry is a fan of natural wines made with minimal chemical and technological intervention during the grape growing process. She is also passionate about supporting small growers, allowing her to show guests the complete journey of her wines as they trace back to their original roots on the vineyard. As part of this experience, Patry will present a talk to the group to share her expertise, and will provide commentary about the wine enjoyed with each course.
